Andrew Belingheri, Valleycrest: I would strongly urge
anyone who has a passion for cultivating relationships, beautifying the
environment, and growing a career to consider the Landscape Management
program at BYU. So much of our world is ‘going green’ and the interest
is building by the minute. The training and education I received at BYU
prepared me to enter the dynamic green service industry well prepared
and highly compensated. From business development and account
management to landscape design/architecture and construction management
the need for talented horticulturists is great. The award winning and
nationally recognized Landscape Management program at BYU is a major
player in leading, training, and developing the talent that will dress
and beautify our planet for years to come. |

Roel Ventura, Initial Tropical Plants: Earning a BYU
B.S. in Horticulture/Urban Landscape has tremendously helped me to
achieve many of my professional and personal life's goals. It is a
wonderful and appropriately evovling program that is both up-to-date
with major current green industry trends and prepares graduates well
for a rewarding and lucrative landscape professional career. One of the
program's best assets is it's highly and commendable involvement with
the annual PLANET Student Career Days. Here, students have all the
opportunities to demonstrate their gained textbook knowledge with
hands-on competitive events and more importantly, it is here, students
have the opportunity to find respective companies to work for and
eventually, become the future leaders of the green industry |

Allan Broadbent, The LaurelRock Company: Graduates
from BYU’s Landscape Management major are very highly regarded in the
Green Industry. The valuable mentoring that I received from professors
in the program helped prepare me to begin my career as a Landscape
Designer/Project Director with a distinguished firm in Southwestern
Connecticut. BYU is well-connected to key industry leaders and
associations that consistently provide students with rewarding
internships and exciting full-time employment opportunities upon
graduation. The Landscape Management major is one of BYU’s finest. |

Wendy Vawdrey, Self Employed: A B.S. degree in
Horticulture/Urban Landscape design from BYU has set me on a fulfilling
path doing what I love most, designing and creating spaces that draw
people outdoors. There is nothing more satisfying than revegitating a
disturbed canyon or innovating new ideas for a backyard space that was
once plastered with lawn. I have successfully moved away from the
office cubicle and out in the sun to enjoy the color, texture, and
fragrance of plants on a daily basis. BYU has a progressive and
comprehensive program that prepares a student for the many paths a
Horticultural degree can take them. I am impressed that every year a
new and innovative workshop is added, or an outdoor lab is created to
move the student from the textbook to hands-on experience, which is
truly the best preparation one can have in the green industry. |
